Rest When You Can

It’s not heroic to stay up late, push through the night, and go without sleep. Occasionally, it needs to be done to meet a clear objective in a given timeline. But it should be the rare exception, not the rule.

With good planning and a clear and consistent sleep routine, 95% of your days should involve a good nights sleep.

If you do get caught in a difficult situation with a very long night, rest when you can. Take a 20 minute Power Nap. Catch 40 winks. Nod off for a minute.

A brief rest can do wonders for your mind, body and soul. Then you can get through those tricky overnight situations.

Address Issues Quickly

Do not let issues grow into bigger problems. The issue itself may not get worse, but your constant reminder of it and replaying it will make it seem far worse that it originally was.

Patient Progress

You can try to rush things but that can cause tension in the universe and you may find faster is slower.

Be patient. Organise your time and leave plenty for the challenges that other people, machinery, technology or nature may throw at you.

If your mind is calm and the route is well planned, with ample contingency time, the challenges will be weathered without a storm.

Make patient and persistent progress and you will win.

Enjoy Time Together

Whether with your parents, spouse, kids, friends or whoever, enjoy your time together. Life is moving fast. Enjoy those moments before they disappear.

Whether it’s drinks on the deck or working through admin and papers, be sure to relish these moments as they won’t last long and may never come again.

Complete Your Projects

Completing a project can be difficult for some people as they agonise over detail thinking it must be perfect. So they extend the amount of time they think they can use and delay the finish. Not ideal.

Set your finish date and meet it. Imagine if Olympic stadiums were completed 8 weeks late! Totally useless. So don’t do this with your projects.

Stay focused and complete it on time and within budget.

Trust Your Gut

Sometimes you try to rationalise things in your mind because you want it to be so. But if your spidey senses are tingling, you should listen up.

Instinct, intuition, gut-feel, spidey senses and hunches are all very valuable energy cues from your environment and the universe. Trust that they are telling you something.

At times they can be spot on and other times they can lead you somewhere you hadn’t been. Either way, pay attention. The universe has your back.
