Aiming for ’on time’ is ok but you will often end up a little later than hoped or a little frazzled. It’s not worth the frazzle!
Be early rather than on time. You’ll feel better getting there, when you get there and later on because you did so well.

While you spend your time trying to change circumstances or other people, the world is whirring by.
If you want things to change, try changing how you look at things or people. If you use a negative filter to assess everything, guess what you’ll discover! It will be all the negative aspects of the situation or person.
If you use a positive filter to assess things, expect to find positive aspects of the person or circumstance.
Don’t let a negative mindset drag your life down. Change your perceptions before it’s too late!
You can make yourself happier simply by changing how you perceive things!
Think of your favourite people. They may be your spouse, a superhero, child, parent or cousin. Name their top five characteristics (from your perspective).
Focus on these five characteristics several times per day for the next seven days. See what you notice.
Sometimes life hits hard and it would be easy to get lost down a negative rabbit hole. You need to resist that. Take a moment and refocus.
Train all your energy on being a positive force with a positive mindset. Be grateful for all that you have. It is far more than you think. Appreciate where you are and what you have. The grass is greener where you water it. So pour some water on your side of the street.
Maintain, or re-establish, a positive focus. Do not let the negative thoughts gain a foothold in your mind. You can beat this and lead people to a better place if you stay positive focused.
Even if your whole world is falling apart, keep smiling. You’ll feel better.
Put a marker down that is memorable. Do something unique to you to celebrate a milestone or victory.
It is important to mark occasions and make that day distinct from others so your special moments don’t run together with your regular days.
Pregnancy takes nine months. Babies take 18 years to grow and become adults. Even the Olympics takes 6 years to build, prepare or train for.
Assume everything might take longer than expected. Use this assumption to even go to your meeting today.
Things take time. Not forever but maybe a little longer than you anticipated.
Plan accordingly.
Take time to enjoy, not just get through.
I find it hard to believe that there are a significant amount of people that are on track to be outraged every day, about the current US administration, for four more years.
Four years is a long time to be outraged. Especially if they have been in that mode for the last four or even nine years. A person could get very old and bitter complaining about one man for 13 years.
This is a good point for all people. Assess what you are doing and why, frequently. Complaining is not a good look. Find some positive things about what’s going on and focus on that. Or do other things completely.
Turn off the tv. Stop reading and following people on social media. Your life is passing you by. And you may not even be enjoying it that much!
Gosh, the world survived a first Trump term, it will be fine with another.
The world has survived civil wars, revolutions, world wars, actual genocide attempts, the black plague, and all kinds of other challenging moments and decades.
Not only will the world survive, it may begin to thrive again.
Sit back and enjoy your life. Don’t let this age you.
Use it wisely.
