Decision-Makers Not Covid

I keep hearing or reading that Covid did this to us in relation to finance, mental health and the economy. It’s easy to say and rolls off the tongue without having to think much about it.

But was it really Covid? Is it really Covid still? Covid is a virus that can get into your body and might impact it. Many people may never experience it while others may have no symptoms, mild symptoms or severe symptoms. In a very small percentage of cases, it can even be the primary cause of death.

As a virus, it does its thing. But Covid doesn’t print money, adjust interest rates or make rules about lockdowns, essential businesses, social distancing, or travel policy. Nor does Covid determine the economic situation in any country. It is not a producer or a consumer.

Just like fire, Covid just is. It is individual people’s reaction to it that impacts other things in life.

If you like, or don’t like, where you or your country is at right now, then let the decision-makers know. It was, and is, them that are making decisions about your city, region or country. Don’t let them say it’s Covid. It’s not. It’s their reaction to it, so it is them.

Decision-makers around the world made different decisions and still the covid outcomes we’re similar. Some people were infected and a range of health outcomes occurred. The virus is still here but now there are a host of other unintended consequences to deal with because of decisions made and still being made.

We could all be a little more accurate with our words. The decision-makers have led us to this spot, good or bad, not Covid.

Your Health Matters

Don’t leave it to chance. Don’t be lazy with it. Be in your best shape. Eat the best, nutritious, natural food that you can.

It’s your one body for life. Treat it that way.

Eat better. Eat less. Walk more. Lift some lite weights, or cans of soup, for just 5 minutes per day. Make your body glow.

You’ll miss what you had if you don’t spend 10 minutes per day on upkeep. So easy to make it a habit. So easy not to as well. What type of person are you? Maintainer of your amazing body? Or the, ‘Who cares’, type?

Notice how this philosophy permeates the rest of your life. Be brutally honest with yourself – is this what you actually, truly want and would wish for, if a genie granted you three wishes?

Confidence

Remarkably, growing in confidence can be quick. Stand up straight, shoulders back, say, “I am enough”, and decide to be incredible or unstoppable.

Or you can build your confidence the old fashioned way by developing skills, building a list of achievements and improving all areas of your life. It helps to notice all these things and appreciate them.

Of course you could do a little of the quick version while working on the classic version. Either way, get growing your confidence!

Book Update: #1 Bestseller!!! ?

My thinking has been very much on my book for the last 24 hours. So I’m sharing my success with you. Especially as many of you reading this have helped make this happen.

Sunday night, after writing my previous blogpost, I did some more poking around online. I discovered that Achieve Anything had reached #1 on three Amazon bestsellers lists in Japan!!! The first time I’ve seen the book reach #1. Super exciting!

Yes, it’s not the Sunday Times Bestseller List, but I still have that to come. Importantly, I am celebrating reaching another new milestone in my book / author path. So I’m doing as I say, because Step 7 in the book is Celebrate ?.

So now I’ve been on 14 best seller lists in 7 countries (US, UK, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, India and Japan) with three of those being #1 spots in Japan.

So thank you all for buying the book, sharing the book, putting a rating or review on Amazon, giving me feedback, liking or sharing my reel or other activities that may have helped achieve these brilliant milestones!

Goals ahead: Record the audiobook this week. Heading into the studio with Zoe Tuesday. Encourage more people to add a rating or review on Amazon so I shift from 20 5-star ratings to 50 soon (go put one up!). Reach #1 on more Bestseller lists. Let’s go!

Call Someone

Have a great conversation today. Call your Dad, Mom, sister, brother, best friend, old friend or other relatives.

Have a laugh or a cry. Mend a fence or build a bridge. Plan a book launch together or an outing.

Don’t put it off. Do it today.

Serendipity Happens

I love serendipity and you should too. That positive things are happening by chance is an incredibly fortunate thing.

Whether you think there is a true serendipity or it’s simply, ‘the more seeds you sow, the more ye shall reap’ doesn’t matter. Even if it were really the idea of, ‘the harder I work the luckier I get’, you should pay attention to serendipity.

Look for it. Recognise it. Acknowledge it. And be grateful for it. Thank the universe each time. Then maybe, like a well appreciated friend, you’ll find the universe coming through for you again and again.

In Search Of Better

I find myself thinking this way quite often. I tend to think of what could be better or how I could make something better. Has this always been my way? I am not sure. But I think it has, at least for somethings.

At school I wanted to get better grades, so I worked at that. In sports I strived to be better than I was, either in skill, stamina or execution. So I trained more, paid closer attention and made refinements.

It has probably become part of my regular thought process. It is exciting to make improvements, either your own, or in ways to help others. In our property business, we look out for houses that could be improved and provide a better home for people.

We also need to remember to celebrate these successes and improvements. Be grateful for them. Be careful you don’t become someone who is never satisfied. But also, don’t stop improving, especially if you are capable of more. Go forward in search of better.
