Fear Focus

Expecting disaster in any aspect of life is a good way to invite mental health issues.

Very many newspapers, news radio, news media, some recording artists and many individuals focus on fear and disillusionment. It is a road to horrible.

As Yoda said in Star Wars, “Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.”

When you consume trash, expect trash in your system.

You can change this. Ween yourself off of the news. Unless you’ve met someone, or listen to people who have spent significant time with them, then you are being used by the media to think certain things and in certain ways about that person or event.

Of the thousands of pieces of information that they could feed you, they’ll feed you the spiciest so you’ll keep coming back. However, like just about anything in excess, you’ll start to regret having any.

Focus on positive words, reports, sayings, activities and people. Let the rest land where it may, but don’t let it be in your lap.

Thank God Trump Is Alive

Like him or not, the assassination attempt on Saturday was shocking but not surprising.

The left leaning politicians, media and other assorted people with megaphones or an opinion, have been wishcasting for President Trump’s untimely death, murder, for 8 years now.

Say horrible, misleading and often untrue things about someone for long enough and of course you’ll get some would-be hero to step up and be the assassin.

Murder is wrong. Premeditated murder is definitely wrong. Yet, so many have ratcheted up the hateful sentiment over the years. If you are one of them, go look in the mirror. Helping to create the environment for evil to flourish in, should not be a proud moment for a good person.

World War I started with the assassination of one leader. When you invite Evil to your door, don’t expect it to wait for an ok to come in.

Many on the centre right had said for 6-8 months that this day was likely to come as The President and his followers continued to attack Donald Trump’s character rather than debate policies.

Trump wants to unite everyone. And I hope he does. I hope people with fear, anger and hate in their hearts will realise that they’ve been sold an evil perspective by the media and they can break the trance at any time.

Thank God Trump is alive.

Make A Plan For Life

Begin with the end in mind. In your final days, when you look back over your life, what will you be proud of? What will you savour and hold close?

Who will tidy your mess? There are many questions to answer including whether you left an inheritance, fond memories, or children.

Hopefully you will have been a net giver on this Earth. You will have a tidy and easy to understand book of your affairs for your Executor.

What fun plans will you have had, trips will you have taken, and opportunities will you have pursued.

Sit down at a computer, or with pen and paper, for one hour this weekend and write out your life from its finish, back to now. Write out the highlight real you want to watch in your later life.

Then on Monday, set to work to ensure you do all that you wrote. That’s how you create a dream life.

Spend Time Together

Whether it is with your spouse, child, parent or friends, make sure to carve out time each week to spend some time together.

Do fun things, silly things and also have important chats. Build those relationships deeply.

You have only one life to do it in and it goes quick. Make sure you put 10-20 minutes in daily and at least weekly (in busier times).
