Focus On You

If you focus on you and make your life the best it can possibly be (health, fitness, wealth, relationships and spiritual elements), you will be independent and happy. No one will need to come and save you.

But if you focus on others, and let your elements drift and become burdensome, then you’re going to need help from others. You don’t need to do that.

So focus on making your life better every day.

Sleep Early, Rise Early.

Get good rest and get a jump on the day. If you wake early, just get up and get going.

Two things will happen. First you’ll get more jammed into one of your life days. Secondly, you will feel tired earlier in the evening which will help you sleep earlier so you can rise earlier.

That’s how you get a virtuous cycle.

Remember To Stop

Too often things get taken too far. You can see this in so many different circumstances.

Often it is far better to enjoy the win and be content, then to seek more than you had originally wanted.

Here are some examples:

Having a few more snacks or cakes than you should. Eventually you’ve put on 3 stone.

Having a few too many drinks and waking up half way through the next day with a cracking hangover.

Putting a few little things on a credit card knowing you can’t pay off the balance. Then a few more. Soon you’re paying £1,000s in interest, yet lost interest in whatever you’re paying for.

Getting a club together to defend yourselves, like NATO, can sound like a good idea. Then after feeling quite secure, you keep adding more and more members. You feel more secure and confident but others may become more concerned and defensive.

There are many, many other examples from women’s rights (is equal enough?), unions (group v individual) and tech (how far is too far, like kissing a robot?), to buying shoes (Ms Marcos), and political coverups (it always starts small and then like a black hole, begins to engulf everything).

The key is to moderate and balance while checking the details frequently so matters don’t get out of control.

Review frequently and track progress. Don’t push things too far or you can do some damage (Like running further than you should). There is always pain after things are pushed too far. Better to stop things a little earlier than build up to a devastating situation.

Feed Your Eyes Goodness

Be mindful what you let your eyes see. Many things can’t be unseen. Some visuals return in quiet times or when our eyes are shut at night.

Bathe your eyes in beauty, love and gorgeous things. Look at things that make your heart fly and your soul soar. Do not waste precious moments of your life on anything that is not beautiful to you.

Take A Day Off

Boxing Day is a good day to take off. Do something different or nothing at all. Don’t do any should’s or secondary interesting things. I wouldn’t just fill time doing nonsense, unless it’s part of what brings you joy or can be done to just to help you actually relax.

Take care of your body and mind. They are the only ones you get. They need to last the whole ride.

Be careful what goes in to both. And be sure to keep them both in tip top shape through helpful exercises.

Are You Drifting?

It’s time for a self-audit. Be brutally honest with yourself. Do you let a lot of time drift by without any purpose? Watching tv or chatting to people to pass the time can provide entertainment or can be good for you socially.

However, do you spend 80% of your day on unproductive or unplanned things? Do you let things happen so following everyone else’s agenda? What about your plans? Do you have any?

If you have plans, why are you letting others distract you from what you deemed important? Tell them to call back, let their call go to voicemail or answer but be two minutes or less.

Drifting along with no purpose, no plan and no boundaries can be quite easy, but destructive in the long term, as your life plans drift away from you.

Start blocking time in your diary for your plans. Make phone calls under 5 minutes. Meet friends where you can get up and leave after 30 minutes. Focus on what your goals are rather than just drift along with whoever rings your bell.

Get Great Sleep

Good sleep is fine. But GREAT sleep is what you want to aim for. Get to bed at the same time each night and get up at the same time each morning.

10pm to 6am gets you 8 hours. That’s excellent!

Your life will dramatically improve after a month of keeping a great schedule like that.
