Check in with your friends. Somedays it’s nice just to have a friend ask how you are. People can be up as well as down. Life can be hard and we rarely know the whole story. Lend an ear. Have patience. Listen. It may change their life.

Get Some Rest
We often need more than we think. Play the long game of life. Rest often and for long enough. You can burn the candle at both ends but it rarely ends well in the long run.
Energy Over Time
People talk about making time, having time, scheduling, etc. But the one thing that may trump time is energy. You may have the energy but not the time, which is one thing. Though, even if you book the time, you may not be able to use it effectively if you don’t have enough energy.
As we age from 20 to 90, each day will have 24 hours and each year 365/6 days. However, most people do not have the energy at 55 that they had at 25. Certainly most won’t have the energy at 80 that they had at 30.
So use your young energy wisely. Do things you want early on in life. Don’t store up high energy activities until later in your years. You may have the time and the money but not the energy. You’ve been warned.
Ageing
It’s usually better than the alternative. So get out there and live it up!
Natural Decline
Everything gets there towards the end, or even throughout its existence. People are no different. We decline with time. Our physical limits go as well as our mental faculties.
It is not easy to watch or experience. But it happens. Prepare for it in advance. And bring your humour with you.
Older Experience And Younger Opportunity
The older I get, the more I can see the potential in people, especially the youth, or those younger than me at least. They have time on their side. If they use their time wisely, they can achieve anything. They just need to dream big enough and get to work.
Rest
Do this anywhere you can, when you need to. It’s a very important part of remaining resilient and making good decisions.
Get Ahead Of The Curve
Get your basics sorted out quickly. Then every 3-6 months add to them. Do not fall behind, or at least not for long. Then catch up quickly.
Keep building and compounding your position. If you have a 3 month emergency find, then set up your will. Once you have a will, get a POA ready, and then your funeral plans.
These things are especially important to do if you have kids. Better yet, get it all sorted before the kids come because you may then struggle to stay ahead of the curve. Good luck!! ????
