Faith, hope and willingness are powerful forces when seeking to achieve a difficult goal.
We can all be nervous or concerned about a potential negative outcome. But we can also spend a lot more positive energy and time on potential positive outcomes.
How do you spend your time? Do you focus more on positive, pleasant, fun and successful outcomes or on negative, fear-led, dramatic and even disastrous outcomes?
If you tend to the negative, start training your brain every day to be more positive. Take 10 minutes each day and focus on coaching your brain on thinking through potential positive outcomes.
Life is long, yet short. You can cram a lot of living into one life. It helps if you act fast, be decisive, move things forward daily and eliminate friction and inefficiencies.
Acting fast can get results faster too. And we’d all usually like that.
Get really good at asking all sorts of questions Small talk questions. Big life questions. And every question in between.
Also get very good at listening to the answers.
Aiming for perfect is stressful and not generally practical. Excellence, on the other hand, is a worthy goal and a great habit to have.
You can strive for excellence daily. So do that.
You are what you think about. Happy thoughts? Sad thoughts? Fears? Success?
Stop once a day and think about what you’ve let run loose in your mind. Be mindful.
Escort your negative, fearful thoughts to the door and close it. If there was something to learn or be aware of, take that, but don’t dwell.
Look for positive, encouraging and inspiring thoughts. Dwell on those all day.
Make sure your food for thought is a healthy meal!
Get it down on paper. Start with 35 years from now. Note down what you’ll have done, been, seen and have. Write it like it came true.
You’ll start to focus on these points every day. Keep reading them and rewriting them. Soon they’ll start to appear in your life. You will be in awe, but keep going.

There are lots of people to be these days and the best one is to be yourself.
It’s easy to think we know so much. Yet, we know very little. We extrapolate, generalise, use bias and guess quite a bit.
We hurry people through their speech, usually just to say our bit. We aren’t that interested in what the other person has to say. We have our view and want to express that.
Yet things can dramatically improve if we just get more curious. Listen patiently to the person speaking. Understand their current mindset. Get the context in perspective. Listen to their words and emphasis.
You will learn a lot. You will improve your understanding. Your communication will improve. And you’ll become a better person.
