Sometimes we have a situation which we wish wasn’t happening. We may focus on how it has affected us negatively. This time, try to see how it’s a blessing in disguise. Because of this challenge, who did you meet? What did you learn? How will you build on this experience to make life even better?
Category: Think About It
Time To Go
When is it time to leave? This can apply to a party, a job, a relationship, a casino or a country. Most people don’t like leaving when all is going well. Some folks prefer to stay longer if they think they can fix it, improve it or it is going to change for the better.
The decision to leave is a complicated one and really depends on the circumstances in the moment. That said, you should definitely consider your options, at various times, though sometimes your grass is greener than you think.
Understanding
You don’t have to agree with people all the time. However, it’s useful to pause, pay attention and really understand what someone is trying to get across to you. It can be a real challenge too, especially if you disagree with their perspective.
But everyone has their perspective for a reason. So try to understand why they have it. Oftentimes you’ll understand the person much better, which can help you accept why they think the way they do.
Do Your Best Or Win?
Would you rather do your absolute best at something and come second or be off your game but still win?
Find Your Passion
Go after it. Search. Explore. Discover. Spend one week and search online, talk to people, watch clips and try things out. Be proactive. Then shortlist three of your favourite ideas. Explore them for three months. Then go for one all in. You can change later if it is no longer for you.
Don’t wait all your life to find it. Hunt it down.
Dream Bigger
It’s just a dream, so why not? How huge could your dreams be? Could you do more to make them a reality? Are you willing to put the effort in to try? Dream bigger – it’s fun!
Motivation
Find what motivates you. Write it down. Remind yourself several times each day. Use it to ensure you keep pressing forward, like your life depends on it; Because it does.
Life Is Terminal
We need to embrace this concept, not to scare us into paralysis but to help us release our drive and some sense of urgency that this game is finite.
Believe. And Act Accordingly.
Let yourself dream about who you are or could become. Imagine your life, body, relationships, finances, holidays, home and pass times exactly how you would dream to have them in the perfect world.
Let your fears and concerns of it not working out simply subside. Summon the feeling you would have if your dreams all turned out true forever. Now use that amazing feeling of relaxation, contentment and confidence to remind you every moment of every day how your life is becoming.
Believe you will get there. Then simply act accordingly.
If you see yourself as an athletic, fit and healthy person, do what one of those people would do. They would probably be disciplined with their food intake (types and amounts), their daily exercise, the amount of water they drink and how much sleep they schedule into their life.
You can be the opposite too. Just do what unathletic, unfit and unhealthy people do. You can achieve this too. Simply build habits and be disciplined around eating poor quality food, and just a little bit more than you should each time. Sit more and move less. Drink small amounts of water and have an erratic and poorly executed sleep regime. You can become as unfit and uninspired as you want to be. It’s success but in a different direction.
Do the above exercise with your money, your relationships and your career and notice how different your life could be in just six months. It would be a world of difference in one little year. And then it could be like that for the next 20 or 50 years of your life.
Gee, why wouldn’t you start working on this today? Right now! Your new amazing life awaits! It’s just one little mindset shift away. Start accepting this new amazing life in your mind every day. And act accordingly.
Empathy Chameleon
Is it possible to feel someone’s position so fully, to step into it, that you take on the physical characteristics of the person, like a chameleon does?
Not only do you step into their shoes and feel what they are experiencing, but your body transforms and matches that persons symptoms and attributes.
Some babies and mothers can have this, while some women develop a synchronicity with friends or close coworkers. Teammates can be in a state of flow or in sync with one another.
So could a person develop illnesses, in sympathy with a close relationship? Would this be to either minimise the suffering (take some on board/reduce the original) or experience it for greater understanding? And can it be controlled? Can it be stopped before permanent damage is done.
Let me know in the comments, if this has ever happened to you.
