Dream big and write it down. Hold yourself accountable. You can only track that which is written down. Do not leave your plan loose in your mind.
Write down your vision in detail. Review it daily. Update it when you need to.
Decide to be in awe of the world around us. As I look around the room, I am grateful for all of the people who conceived of all the products I can see.
In addition, I am grateful for all of the people, I will never know or meet, who financed these products through R&D and manufacture. And finally, I’m grateful to all of the people who worked in the companies, the supply chains, and the delivery units, that enabled these products to surround me in this room.
Sure, I went out and bought these items, so the effort doesn’t seem that incredible. However, the whole idea of each one of these products began years before I decided it was a product I needed and was willing to spend my hard earned money on.
Just think about all the sourcing of the raw materials that went into a plug, a lamp, a painting, a wood carving, a table, a ceiling fan, bedsheets, and a pen.
When you stop and think about all of this, it is really hard not to be in awe of the world we live in.
Believe that great things are in your life. Appreciate those great things. Be willing to accept lots of great things in your life, today, tomorrow and forever.
By pressing for excellence in your thoughts, you may reach excellence in your day to day.
Believe and you’ll likely achieve.
To achieve your goals, you should have a plan that is written down. And if you have a plan, you should have specific milestones. Those milestones need to be checked on frequently. Sometimes this means daily and sometimes it might mean weekly.
One way to greatly increase your rate of success is to have timed, specific, milestones that you move closer to every day. Not only that, you need to be tracking them, frequently.
Track your success daily. This will help you keep your focus on your important goals.
Yes, strive!
When having a conversation with another person, listen carefully, not casually. Listen to what the person is actually saying. Listen to the words they are using and the order of the words.
Occasionally you will need to understand the general point and other times it will be the specifics.
And when a specific question or comment is made, accept it for that which it is. Do not try to guess what they really mean, or mind read. Answer the actual question, not another question you have made up in your mind.
It’s as simple as that. If you’ve got some great friends, be sure to appreciate them. They can be few and far between.
If you don’t have great friends, make it your mission to find a few over the next couple of years. They’ll be great to grow older with.
Whatever this means to you, but it has to be seen universally as good.
You have more energy and time when you’re in your teens and 20’s. Travel, explore, be serious about a sport. Do things that you won’t be able to easily do by the age of 60 or 70.
You have more brain power throughout your life and might notice a decline by 65 or 75. Use it while you can.
