We do a lot for work, our families, spouse, kids and parents and also friends and community.
However, do you do enough for you?
Get into the habit of taking 1 full day for you every 6 months. It’s essential.

However, do you do enough for you?
Get into the habit of taking 1 full day for you every 6 months. It’s essential.
Look a day, week, year and even a decade ahead. Make a plan and follow it.
It’s amazing how you can find pockets of time in your day to be productive. This could be while waiting in a queue, while others are sleeping or when some people would go for a nap or get entertained.
By squeezing some productivity in between the cracks in the day, you can get more done and leave rest time, strictly for rest.
As always, it depends. What are the details?
Sleep is great if you’ve just achieved something worthwhile to you. Though, so is celebrating! (Step 7 in my book) ✅
Fun days with friends should be greatly cherished. Enjoy special moments together like milestones and parties.
These are the days of our lives.
Begin with the end in mind. In your final days, when you look back over your life, what will you be proud of? What will you savour and hold close?
Who will tidy your mess? There are many questions to answer including whether you left an inheritance, fond memories, or children.
Hopefully you will have been a net giver on this Earth. You will have a tidy and easy to understand book of your affairs for your Executor.
What fun plans will you have had, trips will you have taken, and opportunities will you have pursued.
Sit down at a computer, or with pen and paper, for one hour this weekend and write out your life from its finish, back to now. Write out the highlight real you want to watch in your later life.
Then on Monday, set to work to ensure you do all that you wrote. That’s how you create a dream life.
Spend money on self improvement, education, courses and coaches.
Listen carefully and follow instructions. People are there to help and have been there before.
Investing in your future will pay many dividends as the years roll on.
Remember to have a rest day. You need it for your mind, body and soul. Relax. Enjoy. Rejuvenate.
There are big changes happening and also little ones. Open your eyes and see. Left moves right and right moves left. The world will remain in balance as it always does.
Sometimes it’s concerning for one group of people while others seem to excel. Eventually though things shift back the other way.
Occasionally it takes longer for the pendulum to swing back, but it always does.
Don’t try to push things too far one way or the other because you’ll really feel the whiplash SnapBack. There are lots of examples in history and probably plenty you can think of from your own experience too.
Sometimes you need to give a strong push to complete a project, revise for an exam or finish a race or workout.
If it’s not very difficult or draining, both mentally and physically, you might not really understand the word strong.
It could involve two days with no sleep or six days with only 3 hours sleep a night. It will be uncomfortable but it is short term and required to ensure the goal is met in the required time.
Train your brain to push through the pain and challenges and on to the win!!!
