Get moving quickly on things. Don’t dawdle. Move with intent to achieve, accomplish and complete. Then you can rest. No need to rest in advance or during. Try it. I think you’ll like the results.
Finish What You Start
If you don’t want to see it through to the end, don’t bother starting it. Think this through at the start of a project or situation rather then feel compelled to finish something you have no interest in.
It’s Over When Time Is Called
There is always time to score or improve, right up to the final whistle. This is true in games, sports, exams and life. Don’t slack off or think you’re beat. Play harder for the victory.
Don’t coast either. Victory can be snatched from you if you’re not paying attention.
We All Feel The Pain
It just happens at different times and under different circumstances. Some pain you can prevent. Others are out of your control. But know which is which so you can adjust accordingly.
Are You Ready For An Emergency?
Do people know who to call if you become incapacitated? What if you’re on a bus? How do they ID you? Who would they call other than police or ambulance?
What if your parents had a problem? How would someone get in touch with you? Are your details, which they hold, up to date? Have you got a new number?
Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Take some of your precious time now and put procedures in place. There may not be time to do so later on.
Seize The Moment
Take the opportunity when it is there. Like water in a river, this exact water, in this exact way, will never pass here again. This is your moment. Dive in.
Keep Your Word
It’s an important thing to do. Keep your word to others and to yourself. If others won’t believe what you say, it can be hard on your brand and your income. If you don’t believe what you say, it undermines your confidence and ability to achieve anything.
Track Your Progress
This one habit will help you achieve a lot more than you can imagine. If you are trying to make progress hourly, then track this on an hourly basis. When you are trying to make weekly progress, track weekly.
Decide on your specific metrics, write them down and then write down each tracking data point. Yes, it’s easy to do in your head. But it’s not nearly as effective.
If you are serious about winning and achieving, write down your precise metrics and time intervals. Then track the metrics precisely and consistently. Writing it down may seem like a bother, but it is this little tiny sacrifice in your day that will make all the difference.
Meet People
Get out there and meet people: Old friends, new connections, acquaintances, contacts, and friends you made a week ago. You never know what may come of it.
Keep Your Mind Active
If you have to ask why, it’s already too late.
