You know what you’re supposed to do. You’ve been putting it off or not getting it up to the top of your priority list. it happens.
Well, today, do that thing.
You know what you’re supposed to do. You’ve been putting it off or not getting it up to the top of your priority list. it happens.
Well, today, do that thing.
If you’re not delighted by the work you do, figure out why. You should be delighted.
When in doubt, do the right thing. You may take some flak from embedded interests, but you’ll sleep better.
What would you do?
Write it down quickly.
Make a brief plan.
Start making it happen today. First step first.
Go!
Even if the decision is easy and the execution is hard, do it anyway.
Don’t delay.
Get it done today.
Do it now.
Success can be this continuous loop of doing things, reviewing where they got to and then continuing with them into the next step or stage.
That’s it.
For greater success, do more reviewing. This is what really makes the difference and shifts the needle.
We can usually get things moving due to excitement, drive or sheer enthusiasm. But then things seem to stall a little.
Anyone trying to achieve their New Year’s resolutions will recognise this as week 2 or 3 of January. This is where enthusiasm and excitement are fading. Some things are going well but without continuous review, the weeks blend into one another.
Then you might think you’re doing better or worse than you are. By continually reviewing where you are at, you can be clear on how well things are actually going. Much better that, than drifting along blissfully unaware and not making the changes you wanted.
You have more energy and time when you’re in your teens and 20’s. Travel, explore, be serious about a sport. Do things that you won’t be able to easily do by the age of 60 or 70.
You have more brain power throughout your life and might notice a decline by 65 or 75. Use it while you can.
Doesn’t sound sexy. Or fun. But it is what will move you forward and help you reach your goal.
Sit down. Define what you are to do. Then sit there and get it done.
If you commit and quit, your self esteem will drop. You can’t trust perself or count on yourself. Be realistic. Only commit to those things and timeframes you are actually going to do. Don’t let yourself and other people down.
