If you could work incredibly hard for 10 years, and sacrifice significantly, to create lasting world peace and prosperity for everyone, but you would get no credit for any of it, and die in obscurity, would you do it?
Can you do a good deed without telling anyone at some point what you did?
Can you succeed at something yet not signal your achievement, or seek recognition?
Ego can drive us forward, to achieve great things, but it can also hinder many people. Healthy sharing of your success is one thing, though demanding attention for it is another. It’s often a fine line, and if you remove your bias, sometimes you’ll be able to see it.
