We often make plans in our head. Which is a good start. Though, for more robust and longer term planning, writing down your plan in ink is super helpful. Try it!!

Squeezing It All In
There are days you can’t even imagine how you got through them. Stress, time, challenge and conflicts all play their part. Some days you have little choice but to squeeze it all in.
Book Something 1 Year In Advance
Consider your life and this longer term goal. Commit to something quite some time away. Learn to think in years and decades rather than the moment, today or even this week. Think longer term and make better decisions.
Put Some Effort In
Stop coasting. You may be drifting or having an easy life. But it’s time to snap out of it and start putting some extra effort in.
Make hay while the sun shines. You won’t be young and healthy forever so get that income while you can. Build your emergency fund. Pay down debt. Feel better about your personal awareness and control of the situation.
You will develop a greater sense of pride and confidence. Build on that. Take your life to the next level. Do that by just getting started and making things happen.
Keep Putting The Work In
One step at a day. One to three measurable progress points each day. Do this five to seven days per week.
Your efforts will compound. The universe will conspire to help you. You’ll notice small changes and then larger ones.
Keep focused on that one thing you need to do. Stay with it. Complete a task. Then complete a second. Celebrate.
Action and Celebrate are steps 5 and 7 in my book Achieve Anything. Find out what the other 5 are. Pick up a copy of my book at local retailers or from Amazon around the world. They’re having a big sale right now too. 65% off the Hard cover. Or get the audiobook! You will succeed!!
Dig Your Heels In
That can feel sooo good in the middle of an argument. It may not be good but the adrenaline rush and everything works. Dig your heels in deeper as the discussion / argument continues to gather apace.
Generally speaking, we people like to be right about things. The funny thing is we are already right about our perspective. The challenge comes when other people have a different perspective. We can get quite animated explaining to people how our perspective is right and their perspective is wrong.
At this point, you could just walk away. You know you are right from your perspective. In addition, you have little interest in the other persons perspective. You just know they are wrong. And you are frustrated that someone’s lived experience could have got them so far off the correct track (i.e. your current perspective).
Again, best to walk away and reassess your own view of the world. No need to dig your heels in to press the matter. Few people seem to crack with greater pressure applied. You just don’t see it very often or ever.
Sometimes you feel you must win the battle and so forget about the larger purpose of life – Joy.
Don’t dig your heels in.
