The Power Of One Day

Spoiler alert‼️ Life ends.

For some people it’s quietly, alone in their sleep. For other people it may be more sudden, severe or unexpected.

However it happens, and whenever the buzzer goes, it is usually preceded by a fight for survival. We have an inborn desire to survive. And yes, we will automatically go into fight, flight or freeze mode, but if there is time, many of us will choose fight in order to survive.

While fighting will be in our own way, we will fight for time with our loved ones and to see another day.

The power of one more day can be immense.

Check out this powerful and moving 20 second reel by Ed and you’ll understand this even better.

One Item At A Time

Don’t think about the pile of things to do if you have just come back from holidays. Put a few things in priority order and then start doing the most important one first. Then when you finish, just keep going with the next item and then the next.

Just One More, Can Create Challenges

Whether it’s a cookie, drink or one more ski run, just one more can change things.

The cookie can add to unwanted weight. The drink might having you feeling more tired in the morning. And the extra ski run might make you miss your connection back to your mountain base.

Know when to be grateful and satisfied. You’ll appreciate what came before even more.

Pick One Thing

What is it that you really want before you go? What would you like to be, do or have to celebrate and enjoy? Pick one thing and decide right now that it is your goal.

Get specific around this goal. Be so clear in what you see that you can describe it in detail. Write down the date you would like the success to come. Write down the time and the place. Note who you are with as well as the temperature and weather.

Ideally it will be something in the next 5 years. However, you can make it 10 years at the maximum. Almost anything can be achieved in that time with focus, discipline and persistence. This is especially true if you work out a plan and work on it daily. You need some key milestones to ensure you are getting the compound effect.

Try making those milestones monthly. Pick a day and a time in the month that it will be done by. Be sure to write out the specifics, even if it makes you a little nervous to do so. You will gain confidence in your ability to achieve the goal as you move closer to it on a daily basis.

Pick one thing today and work toward it daily.

It Takes Just One

A person, an idea or an experience can change your whole life. However, they don’t actually do the change. You will do this later. It takes just one encounter, word or situation to see something differently and shift your whole perspective.

The perception shift makes all the difference. You can begin your journey from hate, disappointment and depression to more positive vibrations and outcomes. Of course, this whole thing can go the other way too. You can be knocked off the top of your tree and spiral downwards out of control.

We want you to be spiralling upwards and continue on that trajectory. Additionally, I don’t want you to ever experience the opposite.

With that said, I am confident you have seen this idea play out in your own life and in that of others around you. It’s exciting that you can have that one conversation and the aha button is hit. In addition, a whole new world has been opened up to you. And you can decide to jump into it, all anxious and excited, or just let it slip away.

Finally, search out these life changing moments. They are not as rare as you think. And, every time you have one, you could end up on a completely different trajectory. And, with a bit of luck, I hope it is a better one each time.

It takes just one. Watch out for it and others!
