Let Things Play Out
Relax. A million years have passed without your input or navigation. Perhaps letting things play out would be a good idea. The idea that your very limited experience in all things in the world and ability to coordinate 8 billion lives, or even one more than yours, will be better than all those that went before you, might be a bit of a stretch.
Unless you can predict, second, third and fourth order consequences for your own life with exceptional accuracy, then it is probably time to let things play out for everyone else. Besides, you might find all that relaxing rather enjoyable.
Get Checked Out
If something isn’t right, get checked out. Go to your GP or even the hospital. Get tests done. Find out what the issue is. Don’t delay. It may save your life.
Take Time Out
We often go very quickly through our days. We will race about at work to get home, hurry to do chores, admin, cook dinner, perhaps put kids to bed and then do more work, watch a show or doom scroll on the phone.
Well tonight, take time out and just go to bed. Read for 20 minutes, if you must, rather than doom scroll. Or just curl up in bed and dream about what you have and where you’re going in life.
If that makes you smile with joy, great! If not, perhaps just think of your happy place and drift off to sleep. The added extra time sleeping will be magical which you’ll notice when you get up refreshed in the morning. Enjoy!
Find Out Why
You can make assumptions, guess or shrug your shoulders, or you can simply find out why. Ask the questions. Listen to the answers. It sounds so simple. Because it is.
You Won’t Get Out Alive!
We have a strange fascination / avoidance thing going on with The End. Many people find it hard to accept that they, or others, will reach The End.
Once you accept that it is a natural, and inevitable, part of life, you can be more free.
This is also a reminder to treat people like it’s their last day on Earth. Because it could be.
Same for you. It could be your last day. Make sure you have tied up those loose ends, made the calls, given the hugs and had some fun. At some point it will no longer be possible.
Get It Out
Write, speak or mutter, you need to work things through in your mind and get it out of your system. A problem shared is a problem halved is the old saying. But you don’t have to share it with a specific person. You can act like you’re sharing it when writing or speaking. However, you can put the paper in a drawer and never see it anymore. Or speak the words up into space, where no one ever could give chase.
You will feel unburdened. And that is the key. Vent, rant, seethe or simply dispose of your thoughts and you will feel lighter, happier and on the way to a better day already.
Otherwise you are keeping a poison in your system which impacts your mind and health and has little to no impact on any others. Although they may feel an edge or chill from you, it will not eat them up inside.
Just get it out by the end of the day. You will sleep better and be a better person to be around.
