Play A Bigger Game

Whatever you are focused on, could you do more? If you aim to but one cashflowing house per year, could you do five or 14? If you want five new customers a month, could you win over 25?

If you’re spending a lot of your time on nonsense or unnecessary admin, review the situation. Delegate more and free up your time to double your business.

Do a one day time audit. Write down what you did every 15 minutes of your day. See what activities you can eliminate, delegate, remove, stop or be more efficient with.

Serve more people, make more money, have more of an impact. It will become fun and lucrative in no time.

Play Fair

Just because you can do something, doesn’t mean you should. Play the game in the spirit of which it was intended, not how far you can bend the rules to your favour.

It’s nice to win. It is also nice to be the party in power. However, people don’t like being played or seeing things that truly seem unfair.

The pendulum swings harder and further to the other side when people try to keep it in their favour too long.

Enjoy your time at the top but learn how to let go and let the natural changes occur.

Let Things Play Out

Relax. A million years have passed without your input or navigation. Perhaps letting things play out would be a good idea. The idea that your very limited experience in all things in the world and ability to coordinate 8 billion lives, or even one more than yours, will be better than all those that went before you, might be a bit of a stretch.

Unless you can predict, second, third and fourth order consequences for your own life with exceptional accuracy, then it is probably time to let things play out for everyone else. Besides, you might find all that relaxing rather enjoyable.

Keep Playing To Win

Even if things are not currently going in your favour, play every second to win! Keep the winner’s mindset. It can still turn around. There is time. But you need to play every moment like it’s the gold medal match and you are absolutely going to win.

Throw every ounce of energy into your efforts. Leave nothing left over for when you’re done. Never give up. It’s only over when that lady sings.

Until that final whistle, play like an obsessed champion. And one day you’ll be one.

Play, But How Far?

Survivors and especially more successful people may be more forgiving than others. Since they made it through life, they may let their kids take even greater chances. They may be less strict, more lenient, forgiving or even lax. That could be a good thing. But without some decent discipline, you’re setting them up to fail.
