Know When It’s Time

Timing is a critical part of life. Some timings you can affect and some you cannot.

When you decide to leave a party, that is your impact on timing. When your favourite superstar arrives at the party 10 minutes after you have left, that’s timing not in your control.

Everything is based on timing. A second too early or too late can change the course of your life. Yet half of it you can’t even control.

Focus on the timing you can affect and let the other ones be what they are.

Enjoy Time Together

Whether with your parents, spouse, kids, friends or whoever, enjoy your time together. Life is moving fast. Enjoy those moments before they disappear.

Whether it’s drinks on the deck or working through admin and papers, be sure to relish these moments as they won’t last long and may never come again.

Things Take Time

Pregnancy takes nine months. Babies take 18 years to grow and become adults. Even the Olympics takes 6 years to build, prepare or train for.

Assume everything might take longer than expected. Use this assumption to even go to your meeting today.

Things take time. Not forever but maybe a little longer than you anticipated.

Plan accordingly.

Spend Quality Time

There is work and admin, volunteer service and every day life but you need to carve out some time for you alone and to be with others.

Don’t just kind of do it though. Remove the distractions, put down the phone, turn off the radio and have nothing on tv.

Spend quality time means you are focused on each other, not other things.

Things Take Time

From booking a holiday, to medical appointments, buying a car and mortgage applications, things take a fair amount of time.

Not only do you need to really want to do the thing, you have to be willing to spend the time to organise and prepare for it!!

Your Last Time

There is always a last time. We just don’t always know when it will be.

Times you’ll know it’s your last time can be your last day sitting at your desk at school, the last time you you drive a car before you sell it and your last day working for a company.

Although sometimes you won’t know it’s the last time while it is happening. Your last goodbye to a friend, the last time you speak with one of your parents or the last time you wake up in your bed.

Appreciate every day and every encounter. Give heartfelt goodbyes, as one will inevitably be the last.

Find Time

Be ruthless with wasting time. Find the time you need to do the things you want, and some acts of kindness too.

Don’t waste time. Be efficient. Be focused.
