Wanting Versus Willing

So you think you want to change. Great!! This could be a great adventure and get you to the life you dream of.

However, wanting to change, to have a different outcome, doesn’t mean you’re willing to change.

You have to be willing to change, and not just willing if someone else encourages you, sets it out for you or forces you. You have to say goodbye to the old you, burn the boats, and dive in to this new you. You have to be completely committed to this new you and don’t look back with fear or longing.

When you willingly make a change, you will find success. You will commit to the process and the new outcome. Wave goodbye to the old you. You’re never going back.

Leave at the height of the party. Disappear at the top of your game. Keep them curious. Leave them wanting more. This strategy can buy you more time in life and be quite a good way to keep people looking forward to seeing you the next time.

Wanting A Result And Getting A Result Are Different

You can want to quit smoking, stop drinking, lose weight, eat healthy, be slim, get straight A’s, and make millions. But wanting isn’t doing. And without doing the hard work, with discipline and sacrifice, you are very unlikely to get the results you want. Stop wanting it so badly. Start doing it so badly. As if your life depended on it. Commit! No more reasons, excuses or alibis. Learning this lesson well will let you change your life.
