Don’t Generalise. Get precise and expect others to do the same. Get specific on dates and times and lengths, processes and outcomes.
If you work with general, you’re likely to get average results at best. The more precision you have, the more success you will have too.
You want precision in warfare, surgery, finances and legal matters, to name just a few.
Would you accept a paycheck “sometime during the month for a few thousand”? Or would you want to know which specific date in the month that your agreed $4,897,89 was going to arrive in your account?
It is easy to dismiss work as hard, boring, dirty, tiring or dismal. This is not a helpful way to look at things. Check yourself if this is the only way you see work, as you may lean to the negative, which you may want to adjust.
Work can also be interesting, fun, enjoyable, creative, confidence-building and energising.
How you see it is in part how you see things generally and also what it is. You can change what you do and you can change how you see things, so don’t delay in making some changes.
These three ingredients will carry you a long way in life. Stay focused on these and success is bound to find you.
There are other key elements you can add once you are doing these three items consistently, every day. But until these habits are firm and unwavering, stick with these
Pick your desired goal or destination and work backward to uncover what needs to be done and when.
The timelines will seem tighter but that is fine. There will seem like more work to do than you thought but that’s fine. You’ll need to do more than you thought so just get on with it.
When you have work to do, work swiftly. Stay focused on the task at hand and get things done quickly. It’s efficient and you’ll feel better about getting it down without dilly-dallying.
Do young people appreciate what working does for a person? It brings them an income, self-esteem, pride and a sense of confidence. Few things accomplish so much as work. Get out there!
No one else will.
These both look the same. The results can lull you into a false sense of comfort and expectation.
Being a millionaire may have come from hard work as an employee or a business builder. But you could have also simply won the lottery. In both cases you can enjoy or show off your wealth. No one needs to know how you got it.
However, you’ll know how you got it. And one route is vastly more likely to have eventual success than the other.
So start off with hard work and if you get a lucky break along the way, enjoy it.
One step at a day. One to three measurable progress points each day. Do this five to seven days per week.
Your efforts will compound. The universe will conspire to help you. You’ll notice small changes and then larger ones.
Keep focused on that one thing you need to do. Stay with it. Complete a task. Then complete a second. Celebrate.
