Listen to other points of view. Listen to how things work. Your parents are great to listen to. You can learn a lot of good and bad things from your parents.
Listen to advice. Consider it well before taking it.

It is importance to have fun. It is also important to appreciate that fun.
I can sometimes just keep going. There is always just one more thing to do. However, there comes a time you need to say enough is enough and go to sleep.
Summer can be such a lovely time of year, depending on what your local weather pattern is like. I really enjoy summer. The heat is nice. So is going out in my shorts and a short-sleeved shirt.
When you think about it, you get about 75 summers, if you’re lucky. You may get 20 more, or 20 less. In addition, the first five to 10 years should have been great, but hard to remember.
Since I’ve had quite a few summers, I’ve got fewer left ahead of me. For this reason alone, I say, enjoy your summers!!!
The trouble is, it sounds great! But you have to be responsible for yourself now, because no one is doing anything for you. You are free to thrive but you are also free to diminish and decline.
People want success and think it will come with untethered freedom. They don’t realise the opposite will be the case without care and attention to the critical matters at hand.
Freedom means you are fully responsible and many people just aren’t ready for that.
When starting something new, take time to find your feet. Remain patient. Look for little wins.
There are always opportunities to learn a few things. Sometimes you don’t even notice the opportunity. So keep your eye out to try to find those moments that you otherwise might miss.
There is no pause button in life. A picture may be the closest thing to a pause button. Although it captures a moment in time, it still doesn’t halt time.
Even when you stop and look at that stopped moment in time, actual time keeps ticking along.
How you spend your time is a fascinating thing. Take time to smell the roses but also keep cramming it all in before your final buzzer.
Guaranteed you are paying attention to someone or something, a person or a group. Have you thought much about this? Did you think through what they are saying, why they are saying it and what impact it is having on your life?
For example, if you follow sports closely, do you have a favourite team or player? What do they stand for or represent? Do they make you a better person? In whose eyes?
People usually think the people they follow are the best. This is true for sports teams, religions, political parties, authors, schools and even fishing clubs.
If you are interested in the greater good, for you and others, it may not matter as much who you follow as what positive influence you’re getting from it.
However, if you drop a notch and only want the greatest good for your group (not the population at large), then that is where division starts and troubles begin and it may even lead to conflict.
Groups and associations can be great. They are not all equally good. So be mindful about how much you rely on them being the only way with the correct information. You can get good information anywhere. Make sure you don’t fall for second tier info from a top tier source.
If you are replying, “I know”, to something, oftentimes it is because something was to be done and it wasn’t.
If you really know, then please sort it out. Then no one will have to tell you.
You may as well not know if you have done nothing about it.
