Faith, hope and willingness are powerful forces when seeking to achieve a difficult goal.
How much suffering are you willing to tolerate? You have the power to change your thoughts and your actions. Why don’t people do more of that to improve their life?
Rather than make general statements, they could break down the problem into discrete ideas or steps. Then they could find the solution to each step and implement a practical solution.
Hoping for divine intervention could mean a long wait. Grab a pen and start journaling your thoughts. Answer the question “why?”, 200 times.
We can all be nervous or concerned about a potential negative outcome. But we can also spend a lot more positive energy and time on potential positive outcomes.
How do you spend your time? Do you focus more on positive, pleasant, fun and successful outcomes or on negative, fear-led, dramatic and even disastrous outcomes?
If you tend to the negative, start training your brain every day to be more positive. Take 10 minutes each day and focus on coaching your brain on thinking through potential positive outcomes.
Life is long, yet short. You can cram a lot of living into one life. It helps if you act fast, be decisive, move things forward daily and eliminate friction and inefficiencies.
Acting fast can get results faster too. And we’d all usually like that.
Sometimes you just have to drop everything and get there. It can be a bit difficult and often exhilarating. Going could be on good news and it could be for less good news.
Regardless. Sometimes you need to go. Just be there. Be in the environment. You’ll feel it.
You need stamina to push through difficult times. Whether you are running, working late or pushing through jet lag, having good stamina helps.
Build your stamina with trials and challenges and then put it to the test occasionally.
Get really good at asking all sorts of questions Small talk questions. Big life questions. And every question in between.
Also get very good at listening to the answers.
Aiming for perfect is stressful and not generally practical. Excellence, on the other hand, is a worthy goal and a great habit to have.
You can strive for excellence daily. So do that.
You are what you think about. Happy thoughts? Sad thoughts? Fears? Success?
Stop once a day and think about what you’ve let run loose in your mind. Be mindful.
Escort your negative, fearful thoughts to the door and close it. If there was something to learn or be aware of, take that, but don’t dwell.
Look for positive, encouraging and inspiring thoughts. Dwell on those all day.
Make sure your food for thought is a healthy meal!
