There are so many reasons to smile in a day. That you are alive is a great one! Hopefully you have your health too. Perhaps it’s not perfect, but if it’s pretty good, usually, then you’re blessed. Finally, having a few coins in your pocket is also a great reason to smile. Now if you have someone special, or a few people, to share this feeling with, then you have it all!
Have you ever had these thoughts? Should I party now and hope things get better or should I spend a little time preparing for my future life? The tough part is deciding what the optimal balance is for this constant, once-in-a-lifetime consideration. Should I spend and enjoy today or save now and spend later? The ratio adjusts at every moment, consciously or not. Now is the time to make better, conscious decisions.

School grades? Your job? Maybe your income is more important than the job itself. Is it important to give your kids a great childhood? What does a great childhood mean? It’s probably slightly different for a lot of people. Only you can decide what is important in your life. And we will know by what you actually do and not what you tell us.
You can make assumptions, guess or shrug your shoulders, or you can simply find out why. Ask the questions. Listen to the answers. It sounds so simple. Because it is.
It’s a great thing to do. It is often fun and enjoyable and great memories can be made. Kids are great at this. They always like a friend over or a sleep over. It’s just a lot of fun. Do more of this.

Would you rather be independent of your parents or dependent? Dependent is probably the easier route in the short term. Less hassle, more fun. Little responsibility required. But longer term you may feel somewhat unworthy. While independence is harder to achieve, the confidence it brings is empowering for life.

We all like to be right. But given our unique circumstances growing up, we all see the world a little differently. So to insist your interpretation of the world is the only one, or the correct one, demonstrates a level of narcissism or naivety. Your problems weren’t problems for everyone and your success wasn’t experienced by everyone else. So ease up on your Warrior stance and listen to the view of others.
