Be Alone

Are you afraid to be alone? Does it make you wildly uncomfortable? If not, when is your favourite time to be alone?

Being able to be alone is a pretty good sign of an independent mind and of someone who is at home in their own skin.

Learn to be alone. Alone without your phone. Alone without anyone else. Alone with your thoughts. And allow yourself to consider the thoughts that float through your mind. By considering each thought slowly and methodically and then letting it continue to float away helps you better understand your own thinking. This is better than allowing anyone and everyone to influence you with their opinion without consideration.

Try it today! Even for just five minutes. Then you can work up to a whole hour or two!

Alone In A Room Full Of People

Sometimes you’ll be absorbed in your thoughts. Other times you just won’t feel connected to those around you. Of course you may simply be exhausted and uninterested in engaging.

Regardless, if the feeling isn’t there and the timing isn’t right, you can simply retire to your room, home, office, whatever.

Don’t force it. You don’t need to be on every second of every day.
