When you can.
Life can be bumpy and your kindness can save a soul.
When you can.
Life can be bumpy and your kindness can save a soul.
Be playful. Smile. Assume the best. Or assume the person is having a difficult day or year.
Most people are good natured. Often a smile, gentle jest, easy laugh or simple, “I hear that” can lift a person out of the ditch if despair and get them back into the game of life.
Be the person with a better plus-minus* ratio in life than anyone else you know. Don’t let great opportunities pass you by. Be cheerful – it’s contagious.
*Do you make more people smile after they interact with you or do more people get grumpy?Your goal is to make more positive impacts than negative ones!
Life is fun, act like it!
Wherever you are, greet people well.
Whether it’s because of a person you met, event you could last minute attend or any other positive chance encounter, soak it up and enjoy!
Time is the driver of the conveyor belt of life. It keeps ticking along whether you grind all day or stop to smell the roses.
The belt keeps moving you forward. You can jump or run but it keeps you moving steadily at 1 tick at a time.
Use the time wisely.
You can try to rush things but that can cause tension in the universe and you may find faster is slower.
Be patient. Organise your time and leave plenty for the challenges that other people, machinery, technology or nature may throw at you.
If your mind is calm and the route is well planned, with ample contingency time, the challenges will be weathered without a storm.
Make patient and persistent progress and you will win.
Whether with your parents, spouse, kids, friends or whoever, enjoy your time together. Life is moving fast. Enjoy those moments before they disappear.
Whether it’s drinks on the deck or working through admin and papers, be sure to relish these moments as they won’t last long and may never come again.
Take the time to listen to what people are saying. Really engage your ears and hear what they are saying and why they are saying it. Engage with questions, comments and inflections.
Find out more than just the headlines. See behind those ideas and stories and learn the lesson being offered, whether inadvertently or with intent from the storyteller.
Enjoy the conversation you’re having. A great conversation can be fondly remembered for days or even years.
Everyone could use a lazy day once in a while. The day could be to stay in your pajama’s, or read books, watch sports on TV, etc
This is not every Saturday, but 1-3 times per year. Throwing a whole day can be very regenerative.
Remember to refuel or you’ll run out of gas.
Your car, and you as well.
