Keep your eyes open and be aware of your surroundings. It’s always good advice.

Find The Time
Get rid of time takers that don’t serve you. Stop watching videos that aren’t amazing. Shut off movies quickly if they are not engaging.
Find the time to do the things you really enjoy. Reduce the time you spend on everything else.
Risk Is Different
It is different for different people. Some like walking while others prefer big air snowboarding. One group of people prefer to be debt free while others are comfortable with high levels of debt.
Kids can take on more risk than the same people but in their 80’s. Time of life is important.
Stage of life is also important. Before marriage and before kids, adults are often willing to take on more risk.
Be mindful that risk is dependent on many factors, some of which you will not even see.
The Best Time to Be Alive. Ever.
What an incredible time to be alive. The basic living in most westernised countries is better than even kings and queens had prior to the 20th century.
Fresh water. Peace. Food variety and abundance. Smartphones and all they can do and access. Healthcare and the ability to cure and postpone death. Travel ease with cars, Ubers, airplanes and soon spaceships. Flushing toilets. Fridges and freezers.
Social mobility is easier than ever. The playing field is the most even it has ever been. It will never be perfect and sometimes you’re going to have speed bumps, but, oh my. This is soo much better than even the 18th century, never mind the sixth century and all of the others.
Accountability
If you’re looking for someone or something to blame, start by looking in the mirror. You probably had something to do with it.
The sooner you can recognise that you often create the environment or situation that you’re complaining about, the sooner you can adjust your behaviour or attitude and improve the whole situation.
No need to act like an entitled, perfect, victim. You do things that irritate people and situations. Own up to it and make some basic adjustments.
Everyone can breathe easier after this and they will all get along much better going forward.
Stay On Track
You know your goals. You have a plan. You’re tracking your progress daily. Now you just need to stay on track!
Write
Write things down. Write out your plans and activities, your dreams and desires. Write your goals.
When you do this put the full date on the page. Years from now you’ll be amazed at what you wrote.
Put Your Feet Up
It’s the first Sunday of the new year. Take a break and enjoy the moment. The fun and frantic of Christmas and New Year are now over. You can relax and enjoy the calm now that you’ve made it through.
It’s a great day to catch your breath and reflect before you launch into an exciting and fast paced new year on Monday. You’ll need all your energy to keep up with this exciting new year and be able to squeeze the juice from this amazing opportunity we all have before us.
Put your feet up. Relax. Enjoy. Recalibrate. Re-energise. And prepare your mind for the success of 2026!
Day One
How did it go? Did you stick to your plan? Waver at all? Did you stay resolute? Did you shift 1% to the better?
Keep making daily progress. In 30 days you’ll be proud of what you’ve achieved and you’ll be unrecognisable.
Powerful Stories
You can really get immersed in a powerful story. The characters, location, themes, struggles and victories intertwine to make it a high impact experience.
We’re watching the Star Wars movies again at our house. Hard to believe these were made 20 and nearly 50 years ago. And they seem to stand the test of time. The story and the lessons these movies convey are so powerful. They are classic concepts that are at the heart of humanity and how things work in our universe.
