Make Tough Decisions
Occasionally people think that not making the tough decision is the right thing to do. But that is a decision and often the wrong one.
Assess the angles. Consider the moves. Make the decision. Take action.
Not Always Your Best
Sometimes you can give it your all, but it still isn’t your best.
There will be days like these. They are frustrating for sure. Yet there is not much you can do about it.
Take a deep breath. Turn the page. Carry on.
Losing And Winning
Having watched the gold medal match of the women’s ice hockey at the Milan Olympics, it reminded me how tough it is to lose the match yet win the silver medal.
That’s got to be a tough one to get your head around!!
Should I be sad and disappointed for losing or happy and elated we came second best in the world?
Oh, what could have been. And wow, what we achieved!
Wacky Wednesday
Did you read the book as a kid? I think there was a movie too. It was all about the strange, or wacky, occurrences on that day.
A bit like the Men’s Ice Hockey Quarter finals at this years Winter Olympics. It’s been a wacky day – with three of the four matches going into overtime!
Check it out. It got a bit wacky.
Enjoy the last days of this year’s Winter Olympics.
Would You Like To Know?
How does your story end?
If you could play a video of the summary of your last five years on Earth, would you watch it? What if it only showed how you died? Would you like to know?
How would that change your perspective? Might your life be different after seeing it?
Might you be able to guess how it might go given your current demeanour, fitness, activity and consumption? Could you give it a pretty good guess? Might you consider, or decide, to change a few things pronto?!
It might be a great idea.
Be Powerful
Decide to be powerful starting today.
Make decisions. Use your power.
Hockey’s Second Assist
In Ice Hockey, you can have a goal scorer and two other players can be recognised for an assist. This means they credit up to two people for creating the situation that led to the goal.
Life is a lot like this. But sometimes it goes without the recognition for the additional people who set up the person who gets the exciting goal scoring credit.
Arguably films do this well too. They recognise everyone who has almost anything to do with the film in the end credits, not just the leads on the poster.
Make sure you give the nod to everyone who helps you move along in life. Rarely do we do this event, and reach great heights, all on our own.
Oh Well
Sometimes this is the best response you can give.
Find The Time
Get rid of time takers that don’t serve you. Stop watching videos that aren’t amazing. Shut off movies quickly if they are not engaging.
Find the time to do the things you really enjoy. Reduce the time you spend on everything else.
