There’s always a palpable sense of joy around Christmas. Whether it is a religious feeling of celebration or a warm memory of great gifts or family and all the traditions, there is an excitement in the air and it is wonderful.

Let others know the highlights you’ve had. Allow them to get to know you. Your bond will strengthen.
Take time to wind down. Enjoy time with parents, siblings, children, other family and friends. Relax. Play. Unwind. And be kind.
You are either improving or getting worse. Nothing is neutral, at least not for long. You are either gaining weight or losing weight. You are becoming more fit or less fit. The relationship you’re in is either getting stronger or weaker.
You decide whether you are working on getting better each day or slipping behind each day.
If you make £80,000 per year as a plumber, think about being multi-millionaire magazine owner. Imagine what your life might be like. Think like other people in other industries making far more money than you do.
If you’ve never left home, imagine moving out. If you have not traveled much, consider 3 months travelling through a few different countries on another continent.
Think beyond your world. Expand your horizons. Enjoy the whole world.
Push the boat out. Give it a try. It might be perfectly amazing. Or, it might fall a little flat. Either way, you’ll only know if you decide and go.
Sometimes it is very good to stretch yourself and get out of your comfort zone. Be uncomfortable. Be resilient. Be a new person.
And if you don’t, can’t, or won’t, read some things on sleep. Then you can train your brain to get the best sleep every night.
Have you ever noticed how fast time flies? You go out with a friend for an hour at lunch, which seems like a decent amount of time, and walk away thinking it was barely enough to scratch the surface.
I can meet a good friend for four hours and walk away thinking of all the things I forgot to ask and wanted to know. It’s crazy.
It’s a good idea to make a list of all the topics and questions you want to cover beforehand so you’re at least prepared.
Did you hit it? Or did you miss? If you can’t tell, it is probably because you didn’t clearly define the target you really wanted. And you may have been vague on what you really needed to do.
‘Grow the business’, is too vague. You would need to say that you would grow it from £800,000 turnover to £2.1 million turnover between January 1st 2026 and December 31st 2026. In addition, you want profit to grow from £80,000 to £250,000 in the same time period.
Profit margin is growing at a faster pace than turnover as we get more sales while being more efficient.
Get clearer about what and when you are aiming for.
The clearer the target ????, the greater the likelihood is that you’ll hit it where you want.
